About the project
This lift had been retrofitted after the home build was complete. Like all retrofit installations, there are many factors that need to be taken into consideration in order to produce a perfect result, which is why it’s vital to have an experienced and quality builder partner such as our client.
On exiting the lift at the top level, the passenger is greeted by a beautiful glass staircase and floor-to-ceiling views of the harbour. Included in the design are full height mirrors and timber panelling which stand out as a feature – this panelling was even carried through to the inside of the lift shaft! Running faces or “the front face of the lift shaft” can get your creative juices flowing. Gone are the days where this is finished in plaster and paint. Timber panelling, tiles and render are our go-to recommendations!
